After Saddam: The BBC's Hugh Sykes returns to Iraq
By Matt Martin
It's ten years since the invasion which toppled the regime of Saddam Hussein in Iraq. Since then Iraqis have endured an American-led military occupation, a brutal insurgency, intense sectarian violence, hundreds of thousands of violent deaths - and three democratic elections. BBC correspondent Hugh Sykes has been a regular visitor to Iraq since 2003 - exploring the lives of people in a country where security, education, electricity and even the water supply can never be taken for granted. Now Hugh returns to Iraq to find out how their lives have changed over the past decade. Monday at Noon.
