City Visions first aired on December 16, 1991. Created by Rose Levinson, the show which she hosted for 17 of our 20 years has been a fixture on the KALW schedule.
In this hour, we welcome back Rose to talk about City Visions, public radio and her life beyond KALW. For those of us who know Rose both on and off the air, it’s not surprising that she’s been quite busy. Since leaving the program in 2008 she completed a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies and is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Jewish Studies and Social Justice Program in the Department of Theology at the University of San Francisco. She also has an upcoming book coming entitled Death of a Holy Land: Report from Israeli Fiction.
