This week on Open Air, host David Latulippe talks with Finnish conductor Susanna Mälkki, who is in her second week as guest conductor of the San Francisco Symphony. Also visiting is Setar player and violinist Saideh Eftekhari, who is participating in the OneBeat Music Festival, this weekend at Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga. John Dornenburg, Viola da Gamba player and co-founder of Baroque String Ensemble Archetti, shares details about the ensemble’s upcoming concerts for the San Francisco Early Music Society, this weekend in Palo Alto, Berkeley and San Francisco. Plus,  playwright Lauren Gunderson swings by to talk about her new play ‘Ada and the Memory Engine’, currently on stage at the Berkeley City Club, and she brings along actress Kathryn Zdan, who plays the lead character.
