Everyone acknowledges that San Francisco is different. Maybe that’s why there are so many songs about the city by the bay. So many, in fact, that it’s perhaps the only city in the country – and maybe the world – with not one, but two official songs.
The BART strike earlier this week left a lot of us scrambling to find a way from point A to point B. To get where we needed to go, we stood in casual carpool lines, boarded unfamiliar buses, and braved brutal traffic on overloaded bridges. But not everybody got to work on wheels.
Valentine’s Day is a day that holds a lot of meaning for some people – and very little for others.
