Saturday is the 90th anniversary of the first Grand Ole Opry broadcast, so we’ll have a listen to some bluegrass shows recorded live at the Opry plus a collection of bluegrass songs about the Opry on this week's Bluegrass Signal.
You'll hear some outstanding live performances by Bill Monroe & the Bluegrass Boys (in 1939, 1948, and 1989), Flatt & Scruggs, the Osborne Brothers, Jim & Jesse, the Maddox Brothers & Rose, Hank Williams (with the Louvin Brothers), and others.
