What does it actually take for women to win elections?
In 2017, 16,000 women had raised their hand to run for office. One year later, it's 42,000. But what does it actually take to to win? And what will be different when they do? Lauren Schiller speaks with Kate Black, recorded in August of 2017 when she was Chief of Staff for EMILY's List, an organization that helps pro-choice, Democratic women run for office. And she has her own story of awakening to the fact that we need more women in office.
