One of the world's best jazz & blues vocalists, Kim Nalley has been described as a cross between Louis Armstrong and Jessica Rabbit.
Her new album, Blues People, is a musical exploration of African American history and culture inspired by Amiri Baraka’s book of the same name, told through standards like "Summertime," a gospel choir-like arrangement of “Movin’ On Up” (the theme song from The Jeffersons), and topical originals like "Ferguson Blues." She joins host Devon Strolovitch live in the studio this Wednesday 11/18 at 9 pm for a preview of Saturday's CD release show at Biscuits and Blues in San Francisco.
