On this edition of Your Call, investigative reporter Bernice Yeung discusses her new book, In A Day’s Work: The Fight to End Sexual Violence Against America's Most Vulnerable Workers.

Years before the #metoo movement exploded, Yeung was amplifying the voices of women workers who suffer brutal sexual assault and shocking harassment at the hands of their employers. In her new book, she exposes the industries that take advantage of immigrant workers who came to the US to escape poverty only to encounter violence. She also tells the story of resistance. What will it take to end this exploitation?

Guest:

Bernice Yeung, investigative reporter for Reveal, a program of the Center for Investigative Reporting

Bernice will be speaking at Freight & Salvage in Berkeley on April 29, along with Saru Jayaraman, Winnie M. Li, and T. Christian Miller. You can find more details here.
