One Planet: Sea levels are rising and parts of the Bay Area are sinking

On this edition of  Your Call’s One Planet Series, we’ll have a conversation with UC Berkeley geophysicist Roland Bürgmann about his recent report, which explores the impacts of sea level rise on the San Francisco Bay area.

His study suggests that large parts of the Bay Area, including half of the runways at San Francisco International Airport, could be underwater by the end of the century. How should we plan for this?

Guest:

Roland Bürgmann, professor of Earth and Planetary Science at UC Berkeley
