780 people live at San Francisco’s Laguna Honda hospital. They’re here for many reasons: profound disability, recovery from physical or mental illness and injury, or significant caregiving needs. Some are here for temporary rehabilitation and some move in for much longer periods of time.
KALW’s Marcy Fraser spoke with several of the people living at Laguna Honda. And this week, we’re hearing some of those stories. Starting with this one from a musician living on the 5th floor. Some of the sounds you’ll hear are the background noise of a busy hospital.
