Serving student veterans at City College of San Francisco

Aundray Rogers spent eight years in the Army – serving in Iraq, Kosovo and Kuwait – before returning to civilian life five years ago. He's now the president of the Veterans Alliance and the Veterans Resource Center at City College of San Francisco, which currently serves about 1,300 student veterans.

ROGERS: [When I arrived at City College], there were no services... I tried to look for anyone with a backpack like mine-- like a military backpack, camo. Any kind of significant identifiers, to pretty much lead me to them to have a conversation. I realized that now I'm in school with a bunch of young kids, so I need to be with people that I could pretty much relate to and understand. And that's what I found.
