This week on Open Air, host David Latulippe talks with Music Director Ben Simon  about the upcoming concert of the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, which includes the world premiere of a newly commissioned ‘Concerto for Jazz Violin and Orchestra’ by composer Evan Price, who is also in the studio.

Also, a conversation with ODC’s departing Deputy Director Christy Bolingbroke, about ‘Welcome Home @ 40,’ a two-week celebration of ODC Theater’s 40th anniversary, starting this week, with exhibitions, performances and parties through October 30.

Actors Caleb Cabrera, Samanta Yunuen Cubias and Rudy Guerrero stop by to discuss their contributions to the Rolling World Premiere of Karen Zacarías' new play ‘Into the Beautiful North’, which concludes the 2016 season at Central Works in Berkeley. ‘Into the Beautiful North’ is based on the novel by Pulitzer Prize finalist Luis Alberto Urrea and inspired by the classic Hollywood western ‘The Magnificent Seven’.
