StoryCorps: Forbidden Love

When Horace Alexander came back from fighting in World War II, he wanted to get married. He went to college in L.A.,  met a girl named Jenny, and they fell in love. But there was one problem: he was black, and Jenny was white. Horace Alexander, who was 83 years old at the time of this interview, tells what it was like to have a forbidden love, in this edition of StoryCorps Griot, from our archives.
