Now here’s something you don’t hear every day. It’s a blues harmonica, but it’s a big chromatic harmonica, which is rare in the blues world.
And it’s being played by George Bisharat of Piedmont. Why is that unusual? Because he’s a Palestinian-American professor emeritus at UC Hastings College of Law - Not your typical blues man!
Bisharat, known by his stage name of Big Harp George, will be playing tunes from his new album at Biscuits & Blues in San Francisco on Saturday, June 25th. The show starts at 7:30pm.
