This band, the one you’re hearing now? They’re called The Parmesans, from San Francisco. That might be a cheesy name, but their music is tasty. It’s a blend of contemporary folk, and alt-country, with some bluegrass for garnish.
You can hear The Parmesans twice this week. On Thursday, May 1st, they’re at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco. That probably starts about 9:30pm. Then on Friday, May 2nd they’ll be at the Pacific Coast Brewing Company, on Washington Street – part of Oakland’s monthly First Friday festivities.
