Nearly fifty million Americans are food insecure. They have trouble getting affordable, healthy food and don’t always know where their next meal is coming from.

In Sacramento, a city in one of the largest agricultural regions of the country, tens of thousands of residents go hungry each day. In poor neighborhoods where people struggle for jobs, housing and transportation, food insecurity is so common that it's almost invisible.
