Why Translate Fiction? Eric Jansen’s guests are Bay Area novelists K.M. Soehnlein and Sylvia Brownrigg, who have both won Lambda Literary Awards for LGBT fiction and whose work has been translated for readers abroad. On this week's Out in the Bay, they share some of their own work and some of the great world literature that has influenced or inspired them. Brownrigg and Soehnlein are among seven writers in the Center for the Art of Translation’s Voices Carry event - a celebration of international literature - in San Francisco April 20. (Live interview, airs 7pm Thursday, April 11.)
