Host Emannuel Nado invited several music pioneers to the KALW studios to perform live and speak about African music: Baba Ken of West African Highlife band (Nigeria), ethnomusicologist Dr. Yancine Badian Kouyate (Mali), and Fely Tchaco (Cote d'Ivoire, pictured).
