In its 24th year, The Golden Gate International Youth Choral Festival continues to welcome youth choirs from all over the world to perform and compete in venues around the Bay Area. Also on Friday afternoon, San Jose will be host to a parade for Bay Area native Matt Stonie, who earlier this month, ate 62 hot dogs, winning Coney Island's long-running hot dog eating contest. The champion will be honored tomorrow starting at 2:00 p.m. at the San Pedro Square Market in San Jose. Expect to see folks in their favorite hot-dog related costumes, including a few dressed up dachshunds, marching bands, dance groups, and more.

If you’re a bike enthusiast with old timey inclinations, you might be pleased to hear that the Vintage Bicycle Hop is returning to Alameda this weekend. There will be live music performances, awards, and probably a banana seat or two. The event kicks off at 3:00 p.m. at the Forbidden Island Tiki Lounge on Lincoln Avenue in Alameda. It is a free event, but you must be at least 21 years old to attend.
