This week on Open Air, host David Latulippe talks with choreographers Kristin Damrow, Lili Weckler and Alyssandra Wu about ‘Wild Bodies’, the 68th edition of ODC’s Pilot Program, in which six artists are challenged to choreograph new innovative works under the close mentorship of ODC’s staff and resident choreographer, Lizz Roman. ‘Pilot 68: Wild Bodies’ is presented at ODC Dance Commons on April 8 and 9.
Also, a conversation with actress Kimberly Richards, who stars as Dotty Otley in ‘Noises Off’, a comedy about a second-rate theater company rehearsing a farce, currently at San Francisco Playhouse through May 13.
Sherri Young, founder and Executive Director of the African-American Shakespeare Company shares details about AASC's Artistic Director L. Peter Callender's personal vision of ‘Jitney’, a play by two-time Pulitzer winning playwright August Wilson, opening on April 1 at the Marines’ Memorial Theatre in San Francisco. Callender both directs and stars in this production. Joining Sherri Young in the studio is actor Eric Reid, who plays ‘Booster’.
