This week on Open Air, host David Latulippe talks with Sheyna Burt, North American president of the World Doctors Orchestra which gives two charity concerts at the San Francisco Conservatory. We are talking to conductor and artistic director Paul Flight and Dutch bass-baritone Marc Pantus about upcoming performances of the Matthew Passion by the California Bach Society, and a recital by Pantus of a program with poetry from Heinrich Heine, set to music by Dutch composers from the 19th century. Composer Paul Dresher stops by to discuss the world premiere of his new piece for the Berkeley Symphony, ‘Crazy Eights & Fractured Symmetries’. Jane Ganahl, co-founder of Litquake, shares details about the literary festival that opens today in San Francisco; and choreographers Jess Curtis and Claire Cunningham discuss their latest work ‘The Way You Look (at me) Tonight’, currently at CounterPulse.

Open Air with host David Latulippe; heard live on Thursday, October 6 at 1pm. Listen now or anytime…
