Your Call: How did Aaron Swartz change the internet?

On today's Your Call, we’ll speak with Brian Knappenberger, director of The Internet’s Own Boy. The film is about the programming prodigy and information activist Aaron Swartz. In 2013, while defending himself in a federal criminal case for downloading academic files, Swartz committed suicide. Online communities were shocked and outraged. The film asks, what do we lose when we are tone deaf about technology and its relationship to our civil liberties? Join the conversation on the next Your Call with Rose Aguilar and You.

Guests:

Brian Knappenberger, director of Internet’s Own Boy, a documentary film about the life and activism of Aaron Swartz

Parker Higgins, activist with the Electronic Frontier Foundation
