Your Call: Refugees and the right to move

On the November 22nd edition of Your Call, we’ll have a conversation with University of Hawaii Geography Professor Reece Jones about his new book Violent Borders: Refugees and the Right to Move.

Over the past decade, 40,000 people died trying to cross international borders. Reece argues these deaths are not exceptional; they’re the result of state attempts to contain the population and control access to resources. Email your questions and comments about the refugee crisis to feedback@yourcallradio and join the conversation live at 10am with Rose Aguilar and you.

Guest:

Reece Jones, Associate Professor of Geography at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, and author of Violent Borders: Refugees and the Right to Move
