On the November 28th edition of  Your Call, we’ll speak with James Vanderbilt, director of Truth, a new film examining the 2004 60 Minutes story that raised questions about George W. Bush’s military service in the National Guard.

The piece ran just months before the presidential election. Immediately after Dan Rather and his producer Mary Mapes broke the story, it was heavily attacked. Most media coverage focused on the authenticity of documents rather than allegations that Bush went AWOL. What caused the blow-back and what does it mean for journalism? It’s Your Call with Rose Aguilar and you.

Guest:
James Vanderbilt director of the film Truth

Glenn Smith, journalist, writer, political activist, and author of the highly acclaimed book, The Politics of Deceit: Saving Freedom and Democracy from Extinction. He also wrote Unfit Commander, a book that detailed George W. Bush’s mysterious disappearance from military service
