Your Call: Who's in charge of America's schools?

On the October 21st edition of Your Call, veteran education journalist Dale Russakoff joins us to discuss her new book The Prize, Who’s in Charge of America’s Schools?

In fall 2010, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg pledged $100 million dollars to transform Newark, New Jersey’s failing public schools and turn them into a national model. Russakoff reports that Mark Zuckerberg, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, and then Newark Mayor Cory Booker were ready to reform our failing schools. Instead, they got an education. What’s the end game for education reformers? It’s Your Call with Rose Aguilar and you.

Guest:
Dale Russakoff, journalist and author of The Prize, Who’s in Charge of America’s Schools?
