Your Call: Women surfers busting through a wave of sexism

Jun 2, 2016

On the June 2nd edition of Your Call, we’ll discuss the sexism plaguing women in sports.

Women's sports only receive four percent of all sports media coverage despite representing forty percent of all sport participants according to the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport.

A new documentary It Ain’t Pretty dives into the challenges women surfers face in a male dominated sport. What will it take for women athletes and sports to be taken seriously? It’s Your Call with Rose Aguilar, and you.

Guests:

Dayla Soul, filmmaker for It Ain't Pretty

Bianca Valenti, professional surfer
