Your Call: Youth sue the US government for causing climate change

Our Children's Trust

It has been a momentous week for the groundbreaking climate change lawsuit, Juliana v. United States. It was brought two years ago by 21 children and young adults against the US government for its actions that cause global warming.

A hearing will decide whether the case can proceed to trial. We’ll speak with young people and their lawyer, and we’ll hear about the range of legal challenges to the Trump Administration’s rollback of environmental protections.

Guests:
Philip Gregory, co-counsel for Juliana v. United States

Jacob Lebel, one of the 21 young plaintiffs in Juliana v. United States

Michael Burger, executive director for the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law at Columbia Law School
