Today’s Local Music: Pacific Boychoir

Today, we're featuring a rehearsal by the Pacific Boychoir. Their motto is: “Bay Area based, World Renowned.” Over 160 boys participate in seven choirs within this 15-year-old organization. Their next performance will be Bach’s “Magnificat,” when they join the Oakland-East Bay Symphony for their final performance of the season. It takes place at Oakland’s Paramount Theater on Friday May 3rd. There’s a pre-concert talk at 7pm, with the main program starting at 8pm.

You'll find them at George’s Night Club in San Rafael on Friday, May 3rd starting around 9pm.

Can you guess the Audiograph sound this week? April 28, 2013

Poster designed by Rich Black

This is Audiograph--the Bay Area’s sonic signature.

Each week, we’ll play you a sound recorded somewhere in the Bay Area. Your job? Listen to the sound (in the player above), figure out where it was recorded, and what exactly it is, then call us to let us know.

If you think you can identify this Audiograph sound of the week, call 415-264-7106. Also, tell us where to record next. We’ll give away a KALW t-shirt every week to one lucky caller.
