Thursday at 7pm, Marilyn Pittman visits with digital pioneer Karen Wickre, who is currently the Editorial Director for Twitter and a former Google content strategist.  She co-founded "Digital Queers" in the early 1990s, helping connect gay rights groups with technology and each other, and was a site manager for the world's largest LGBT site, planetout.com.

Women are twice as likely to consult Google for a health diagnosis as opposed to a real doctor — but apparently one in four women end up misdiagnosing themselves from the information they get on the Internet.

The Federal Transit Administration has committed $900 million to the Bart Silicon Valley project. This extends the existing Bart system 16 miles south to San Jose. Construction can begin, and if all goes as planned, the extension could be running four years from now...
