He expanded the Papahānaumokuākea Marine Monument to include half-a-million-square-miles of waters in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands.

"Folk Music & Beyond" presents a special performance by award-winning Hawaiian slack key guitarist George Kahumoku.  This concert was recorded in Berkeley a few months ago.  Joining George on stage are Da' Ukelele Boyz and Daniel Ho.  They perform a mix of Hawaiian classics, original songs, and instrumentals.
