Christmas comes but once a year, and every once in a while Hanukkah sneaks up on it. This year's Festival of Lights starts on Christmas Eve, making the last week of 2016 all the merrier (that shouldn't be too hard).

Folk Music & Beyond: Hanukkristmas!

Dec 21, 2016

CHRISTMAS EVE and HANUKKAH will converge on December 24th and this Saturday at 3 pm on "Folk Music & Beyond", we'll celebrate both events.  In the first hour of the program, we'll hear Christmas and holiday music from around the world—England, the Balkans, France, Sweden, Scotland, Santa Cruz, and New York City.

On the December 10th, 2014 edition of Your Call, we’ll have a conversation eco-chef and food justice activist Bryant Terry about his new book Afro-Vegan. Terry wants to us to use the holiday season to talk about building a healthy, ethical and sustainable food system for all. Many Americans over-eat during the holidays, while one in five households struggle with hunger. How can we ensure that nourishing foods are a universal right, not a privilege? It’s Your Call, with Rose Aguilar, and you.
