KALW

Thanks to the incredible response from listeners during the Fall Membership Campaign, KALW now has nearly 12,500 active members.   As 77% of Local Public Radio’s budget comes directly from listeners, a growing base of individual supporters is critical to the station’s future.

The commitment and generosity of KALW listeners has significantly improved the station's financial standing over the past two years.  At the end of  FY2012 on June 30th, KALW's cash reserves stood at $343,272, up more than $200,000 from a year earlier.

We did it!

Listener support has made KALW a powerful resource for the public life and creative communities of the Bay Area.

And in our just-concluded January Membership Campaign, the passion and generosity of KALW listeners helped us surpass our goal of $100,000 and ensure this station is ready to keep innovating and serving the community.

Thank you for keeping Local Public Radio strong and independent.  We love making radio in partnership with you.

KALW General Manager Matt Martin provides an update on Local Public Radio's plans for 2012, and takes listeners calls and e-mails on the Manager's Report to the Listeners.  You can also e-mail Matt at matt@kalw.org.
