Today’s Local Music: Pacific Boychoir

Today, we're featuring a rehearsal by the Pacific Boychoir. Their motto is: “Bay Area based, World Renowned.” Over 160 boys participate in seven choirs within this 15-year-old organization. Their next performance will be Bach’s “Magnificat,” when they join the Oakland-East Bay Symphony for their final performance of the season. It takes place at Oakland’s Paramount Theater on Friday May 3rd. There’s a pre-concert talk at 7pm, with the main program starting at 8pm.

Today's Local Music: Mohammed Nejad

Mohammed Nejad is a Classical Persian musician. He's performing and holding a workshop on Persian Classical music on Sunday morning ​at the Islamic Cultural Center of Northern California in Oakland, from 9am-11am, as part of the weekend-long Doorway to Islamic Civilization event.
