Today's local music is by Los Rakas. These two cousins were born in Panama, but they were raised in Oaktown, baby. You can hear them this Saturday, April 28 at the Catalyst Nightclub in Santa Cruz. Music starts at 9pm.
I love my classic Nishiki road bike. I know, it’s kind of a Bay Area hipster cliché, but what can I say? I enjoy riding and I try to bike as much as I can – to work, for fun, whatever. So I was excited to hear about the new 10-day, 200-mile bike tour that the bands Rupa and the April Fishes and Shake Your Peace have planned.
The song you’re hearing is the very-San Francisco band called Future Twin. The band started as a trio but is now a five-piece group … when they all show up. They have a show planned Saturday (04.14) at El Rio in San Francisco. They’ll probably include songs from their debut EP cassette, which came out in January. Music starts around 9pm.
