Tim O'Brien, Grammy-award winning singer-multi-instrumentalist, is our special guest this Saturday 3 pm on KALW's Folk Music & Beyond.  Tim will talk about his musical journey starting in Wheeling, West Virginia and his collaborations with sister Mollie O'Brien, Darrell Scott, Dirk Powell, Kathy Mattea, and musicians from Ireland and the bluegrass band Hot Rize.  Tim's latest CD "Where The River Meets The Road" includes songs inspired by West Virginia.

Join KALW hosts JoAnn Mar, Kevin Vance, and Peter Thompson for another five hour live music extravaganza 3 to 8 pm this Saturday featuring a diverse range of musicians from around the Bay Area and beyond.  Our eclectic folk festival will cover Celtic, gypsy swing, bluegrass, old-time, Balkan, world-jazz, Jimi Hendrix, and everything in-between!
