It's the last day of the September campaign!  Become a member for the first time, renew your membership, or become a sustaining member of Local Public Radio.

A huge thanks to everyone who supported KALW's September campaign.  When all was said and done, more than 2700 listeners donated over $367,000 to Local Public Radio.

That's 98% of our ambitious goal of $375,000, making this the most successful September campaign ever at KALW.  The station is strong and ready to invest for the future, with no more on-air fundraising until next May.

KALW's Shrine to Public Radio

Sep 10, 2014

We've built a shrine/temple/altar/magical mountain of knickknacks in KALW's front lobby. You can call it what you want, but we're honoring the amazing things that keep public radio alive, awesome, and meaningful. Bring a trinket, token, love letter, or object of your affection that symbolizes your <3 for radio and write a couple lines about why you chose that object.  Rebecca Solnit was our first guest contributor. She suggested a tiny radio for the shrine. Listen to her poetic reason why:

It's the last day of KALW's September membership campaign, and we're trying to reach our goal by 6pm while keeping the pitch breaks short, and the programming uninterrupted.

Keep KALW independent and innovative:  Make an donation right now.

Thanks!
