Shakespeare + Shocktoberfest ~ Gore & War

Nov 5, 2015

Halloween not enough? The gory, century-old Grand Guignol theatre style is recreated in Thrillpeddlers' Shocktoberfest 16: Curse of the Cobra, playing through Nov. 21 at the Hypnodrome in San Francisco.  And Theatre Rhinoceros, the nation's longest-running LGBT theater company, presents Shakespeare Goes to War at The Thick House.

This week, host David Latulippe talks with Bay Area actors Craig Marker and Gabe Marin talk about their roles in the SF Playhouse production of Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo; composer Michael Daugherty talks about his residency with the New Century Chamber Orchestra; actor/director Russell Blackwood shares details about Shocktoberfest 14 at the Hypnodrome, which will commemorate the 125th Anniversary of the Jack The Ripper Murders; and we wrap up the Architecture and the City festival which closes this weekend with Home Tours.  Open Air, originally broadcast on Thursday September 26 at 1pm. Listen now or anytime.
