My father always said, "You don't understand the price of freedom." But I do know I understand the price of being robbed of my right to grow up around grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. I know the price of growing up nation-less. The price of having no national identity. The cost of not knowing who I am or where I am from.
Valentine’s Day is a day that holds a lot of meaning for some people – and very little for others. Whether or not you celebrate Valentine’s Day, thinking about love is something we all do, often from the time we’re very young. Youth Radio’s Denise Tejada took some time out to ask the interns at her office what they think about love. The Campaign for an American Dream (CAD) is starting to make some buzz on the West Coast, as four young undocumented residents prepare to walk from San Francisco to Washington D.C., in an attempt to raise awareness along the way about the DREAM Act and Immigration rights.
